Recent flooding in Louisiana has caused disastrous impacts for thousands of homeowners and businesses. "They also get to sharpen their current skill sets and develop further confidence in their own abilities to reach ambitious goals."

President Obama declared the Louisiana flooding a major disaster way back on August 14, and several deaths have been attributed to the floods. Some parts of the state received 20 inches of rain in just 24 hours, and thousands have been evacuated or are without power as a result. The banks of 15 rivers across Louisiana are swollen, causing continuing issues.

Peak Enterprises Corp associates were proud to help recovery efforts, and the President realizes there is much more work to be done. He remarked, “If we act collectively, we can have a much greater impact on the recovery efforts. We know federal and state government aid won’t be enough, and we hope everyone reading this will help CDP’s Gulf Coast Resilience Innovation Fund.”

The CDP’s special fund was established in 2015 on the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina through a gift from the Irene W. and C.B. Pennington Foundation. “This fund was designed to help support projects through life cycles of disasters,” the President added. “It is our hope here at Peak Enterprises Corp that we can help communities better plan and prepare for disasters. We know that schools, homes, and infrastructure will suffer ongoing damage, and we want to help create innovative solutions.”

Peak Enterprises Corp’s President Outlines the Team Benefits of Giving Back

Philanthropy has always been at the heart of the Peak Enterprises Corp culture, and company associates take part in a wide range of giveback pursuits. The President explained, “We encourage our team members to support good causes on their own, but I think it’s even more rewarding to give as a team. When our associates come together to help those in need, they learn so much more about each other as people.”

The President also appreciates the skill-building potential that giveback pursuits provide. Both in terms of new abilities and refining existing skills, professionals reap considerable rewards from taking part in philanthropic measures. “Our Peak Enterprises Corp team members get exposed to new ways of getting things done when they help nonprofits advance their missions,” the President noted. “They also get to sharpen their current skill sets and develop further confidence in their own abilities to reach ambitious goals.”
